The scientists say the time is speeding up.

We could discuss now weather the time is existing at all or not but what many people tend to feel is that our rhythm of life is not natural any more.

  • 100 years ago it was light at daytime and dark at night time – now we have light pollution
  • 100 years ago we could have fresh strawberries in June, some picking time needed,  now we just buy them 24/7, time required  2 seconds from the shelf.
  • 100 years ago we spent half of the day doing laundry or knitting the sweater all week.

The rhythm of life STILL is orchestrated by the natural patterns.

We are part of the nature.

Technology has trained our brains to process more information.

How cacophonic do you feel? Where is Your energy going?

When our brains receive new information, it doesn’t necessarily come in the right order. This information needs to be reorganized and presented to us in a form we understand.

Various internet sources estimate that an adult makes about 35,000 remotely conscious decisions each day (in contrast a child makes about 3,000). This number may sound absurd, but in fact, we make 226.7 decisions each day on just food alone according to researchers at Cornell University (Wansink and Sobal, 2007). As your level of responsibility increases, so does the smorgasbord of choices you are faced with.

If you make too many decisions in too short a time frame, you significantly reduce your decision-making ability.

This is known as decision fatigue.

Here is how to to avoid decision fatigue

Steve Jobs famously wore the same black turtleneck, blue jeans and New Balance sneakers every day.

It is smart to free up Disk Space on your brain for the real decisions.

There are  2 simple things you can do…

 

 

  • reduce the amount of decisions you have to make every day, like Steve Jobs did
  • decide all weeks food in advance
  • put yourself on Tv/Netflix diet. PS! Luxury cars are not adveritized on TV because only poor people watch Tv.
  • add Zero Gossip diet
  • add Zero Complaining diet
  • prioritize. There is no need to react on everything

…and to add some magic Rituals

By focusing on what you are doing, you will slow down time (or how your brain perceives that time).

Pick these strawberries and knit that sweater?

Not necessarily!  You could bring in healthy rituals to imitate these orchestrated natural patterns.

Yaa. Yoga too!

Vincent Van Gogh Starry Night Over The Rhone

Starry Night Over the Rhone (September 1888) is one of Vincent van Gogh’s paintings of Arles at night time in Arles. It was painted at a spot on the bank of the Rhone River that was only a one or two-minute walk from the Yellow House on the Place Lamartine which Van Gogh was renting at the time. The night sky and the effects of light at night provided the subject for some of his more famous paintings, including Cafe Terrace at Night (painted earlier the same month) and the later canvas from Saint-Rémy, The Starry Night.
